What is the course about?
CCNA Security will teach students to design and implement security solutions that will reduce the risk of revenue loss and vulnerability.

The courses focus on the overall security processes based on a security policy, with an emphasis on hands-on skills in the areas of secure perimeter, secure connectivity, security management, identity services, and intrusion detection. The course will have a particular emphasis on:

	Security policy design & management
	Security technologies, products & solutions
	Firewall and secure router design, installation, configuration & maintenance
	AAA implementation using routers and firewalls
	VPN implementation using routers and firewalls
	IDS implementation using routers and firewalls

There is no pre-requisite to enrol on the course!.

How long does the course last?
The course will be two 70-hour blocks, 0ne each for Network Security: Router and Network Security: PIX, which include hands on skills exercises and assessments. The delivery duration for each course is 14 weeks.

What qualification will I obtain?
The CCNA Security: Router course prepares students to take the SECUR (Securing Cisco IOS Networks) and the Fundamentals of Network Security: PIX prepares students to take the CSPFA (Cisco Secure PIX Firewall Advanced) exams in preparation for the Cisco Firewall Specialist.

What are the progression opportunities?
These exams will also count towards the CCSP (Cisco Certified Security Professional) certification. As a security expert the employment opportunities are endless with the continuing intrusion of networks and internetworks.
